Gum rubber boots and sleeves
8 5/8" ID Gum Rubber Boot, Cut to Length
The 8 5/8 inch gum rubber boot fits over 8 inch nominal pipe and 8 inch round spouting. Nobody stocks this size, which is exactly why we get asked for it so often. Eight inch pipe measures 8.625 inches on the outside, so the boot has to be cut to 8 5/8 to go over it.
8 5/8" ID gum rubber boot, hot vulcanized seam.

This is the workhorse size in grain and feed. It is the flex connector between bucket elevator heads and spouting runs, the sleeve at a distributor outlet, and the short connection into a bin fill. Cement terminals use it on small loading spouts and aspiration lines.
Run a 1/4 inch wall as the default. Grain is not especially abrasive, but it moves constantly, and the sleeve at a clamp line is doing the same flexing several thousand times a season. If the run carries hot pellets or a scaled feed with grit in it, step up to 3/8 inch and it will outlast two of the thin ones.
A note worth repeating: this is the size where cold-bonded sleeves fail first. The band clamp squeezes the glued overlap, the seam creeps, and it splits at the clamp line, usually mid-harvest. Ours are hot vulcanized so the overlap is cured into one piece of rubber.

Working from an old part number instead of a measurement? Put the number in the notes field on the RFQ and we will match the dimensions. We regularly build equivalents to MPParts, Vince Hagan, CEPI and other catalog boots.

ID, wall, length. That is all we need to quote it.
